The BBC One start time
Blue Planet III begins on BBC One on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at 8pm GMT. The Open University, which co-produced the series with the BBC, gives that time in its October 30 announcement.
David Attenborough narrates the new series. The BBC programme hub also confirms the November 1 launch on BBC One and iPlayer, with Tropical Seas identified as episode one.
The first three episodes listed on iPlayer
At the time of checking, the official iPlayer catalogue lists three Series 1 episodes: Tropical Seas at 58 minutes, Open Ocean at 58 minutes, and Seasonal Seas at 59 minutes.
Use the Blue Planet III listing linked below for the new series. The BBC programme hub also links to The Blue Planet and Blue Planet II, which are separate, older series.
Three listings within a six-part series
The BBC Media Centre guide, published on October 23, describes six episodes in total. The remaining three titles in that plan are Polar Waters, The Deep and Future Seas.
The three iPlayer listings do not establish that all six episodes are online. The 8pm time above applies to the TV premiere; an exact on-demand unlock time for the three-episode selection has not been confirmed in the sources checked.
