Find the exact title
Start in the streaming service's own app or website and confirm the title, year and season. A search result for a similarly named film or an earlier season can look convincing without answering your question.
Then check the country covered by the announcement you found. Netflix explains that regional rights can affect availability. An English-language press release does not automatically confirm the same catalogue in the US, UK, Canada and Australia.
Check the account you will use
Open the title page while signed into your own account and check the available season and episodes. On services that also sell rentals, channels or extra subscriptions, confirm which option the page offers. A search listing by itself does not establish that playback is included in your plan.
On Netflix, profile language and maturity settings can also affect which titles appear. Check those settings if a confirmed title is missing, using the service's own help instructions.
Keep the date attached
Record the country and the day you checked. For a future release, separate the announcement date from the viewing date. A useful answer is precise enough for another person to repeat the check before paying.
