A record quarter for attendance

Live Nation reported its third-quarter results on November 5. Concert attendance reached 61 million, up 19% from a year earlier, while revenue increased 19% to US$10.1 billion. Operating income rose 13% to US$892 million.

The company reported adjusted operating income of about US$1.18 billion, up 14%. That is a non-GAAP measure, with a reconciliation in the release; it should be distinguished from operating income and net income.

Quarterly attendance and future-show sales are different measures

Live Nation says it had sold about 170 million tickets for 2026 shows through late October, up 13% and already above its full-year 2025 total. That later sales snapshot is separate from the 61 million concert visits recorded in the third quarter.

Management expects full-year attendance to approach 180 million. This remains a forecast. The Ticketmaster business reported 98 million fee-bearing tickets in the quarter, including events beyond concerts. That figure is a ticket count, not the price of a booking fee.

Why the cash-flow period matters

The company’s reconciliation shows about US$657.7 million of operating cash outflow in the third quarter. Across the first nine months, operating cash flow was positive at US$2.1 billion. Its adjusted free-cash-flow measures exclude or adjust additional items and are presented separately.
