What changes for business users
PayRewards has added Avios to its transfer partners for US businesses. The November 6 announcement says customers can now convert one PayRewards point into one Avios, including points earned through eligible business payments made by ACH or credit card.
The new option joins Cathay Pacific Asia Miles and Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer. The US platform launched in August; today’s change is the additional transfer partner.
The cost of earning the points
PayRewards says it has no monthly platform fee, but charges per payment. Its announcement lists a 2.9% service fee for card payments, plus a rewards fee of 1.75% in the Core tier, earning one point per dollar, or 3.25% in Plus, earning two points per dollar.
For card payments, those listed fees add to 4.65% for Core or 6.15% for Plus. These totals are calculated from the announced fee components, rather than a claim that every payment method has the same cost. The service shows fees before payment confirmation.
Check the booking as well as the transfer
Avios reward bookings remain subject to seat availability, taxes, fees and carrier charges. A 1:1 points transfer does not mean a free flight or a guaranteed redemption value.
Before making a business payment for rewards, compare its displayed fee with an actual available booking and its cash charges. The announcement does not specify a transfer processing time or minimum, so neither is assumed here.
