The October 24 update
On October 24, 2026, GPU Unlock merged a table of reported card results into its README.
The project describes a Linux kernel module that runs before the NVIDIA driver. The table summarizes user reports.
Check the exact card
Users report successful unlocks on RTX 3090 Ti, 3090, 3080 10 GB, upgraded 3080 20 GB, 3070 and 3060 12 GB cards.
The table marks RTX 3070 Ti as untested with this Linux module; its cited success used a separate UEFI port on Windows. GA103 has no reports in the table. An RTX 3080 Ti 20 GB OEM user report says the unlock completes, but BF16 remains at half rate.
Which AI tasks benefit
Repository reports describe faster LLM prefill, diffusion and matrix calculations. LLM decode and INT8 work stay about the same. Benchmarks use different setups and power limits, so results are not directly comparable.
