BBC orders This City Is Ours series 3 ahead of 25 October return

A third series is confirmed

The BBC has commissioned a third series of This City Is Ours, announcing the decision on 20 October. The eight hour-long episodes will film primarily in Liverpool in 2027. Casting will be announced later.

That describes filming plans. A premiere date for series 3 has not been given.

Two ways to follow series 2

Producer Left Bank Pictures said on 8 October that all eight episodes of series 2 will be available on BBC iPlayer from Sunday 25 October. BBC One starts that evening at 21:00, with episodes airing on Sundays and Mondays.

The UK clocks go back earlier on 25 October, so the evening broadcast time is 21:00 GMT. The announcements do not give an exact iPlayer upload time.

Choose your viewing schedule

For a box-set watch, follow the iPlayer listing. For the BBC One run, check each episode before setting a recording.

UK access

BBC iPlayer is available only in the UK and requires a valid UK TV Licence. A BBC.com subscription for international audiences does not include iPlayer.
