Which services have five-year trials
Toyota’s November 5 announcement details the 2027 Tundra’s connected features. Its US page lists five-year Remote Connect, Safety Connect and Service Connect trials.
Remote Connect supports door locking and vehicle location through the Toyota app on a compatible phone or smartwatch. Activation and 5G coverage are required.
Navigation and Wi-Fi have shorter windows
The current model page lists a three-month Drive Connect trial on select trims, covering features including Cloud Navigation and Intelligent Assistant. Wi-Fi Connect has a 30-day trial with unlimited hotspot data.
The model page’s trim qualification matters: the earlier announcement describes the three-month Drive Connect trial across all grades. Check eligibility for the specific vehicle.
The new hardware is a separate feature
The announcement specifies a standard 14-inch touchscreen and built-in Drive Recorder that captures 20-second clips. Digital Key requires a compatible device and a Remote Connect trial or subscription.
