What is returning?
Bungie detailed its first Destiny 2 restoration pass on 29 October 2026. It says the content will be available to all players.
Plans cover the Red War, Forsaken, Curse of Osiris and Warmind campaigns; strikes, raids and raid lairs from those releases; and Menagerie with refreshed rewards.
How long will it take?
Head of Product Josh Deane expects testing of the restoration process to run until roughly January or February, followed by about 12 months of full production. That is a work estimate, not a confirmed release date.
When to expect more news
Bungie targets February for its next major communication about Destiny, with progress reports along the way. It says not to expect a Destiny announcement at this year's The Game Awards.
