On 25 October, the developer scheduled PC pre-loading for 26 October 2026 at 7pm PDT, with launch following on 28 October at 7pm PDT.
How much free space to keep
PC players need at least 300 GB free for pre-loading. The game itself is approximately 145 GB. The instructions also specify an SSD and current graphics drivers.
The larger figure describes pre-load preparation, rather than an exact download size or permanent installation footprint.
Local times for pre-load and launch
Pre-load on 26 October: US Pacific and Vancouver, 7pm PDT; US Eastern and Toronto, 10pm EDT.
Pre-load on 27 October: UK, 2am GMT; Sydney, 1pm AEDT; Brisbane, noon AEST; Perth, 10am AWST.
Launch uses the same local hours on 28 October in those US and Canadian zones, and 29 October in the UK and listed Australian cities.
Check your PC before starting
Steam lists separate minimum and recommended PC configurations and specifies SSD installation for both. Use its requirements section to compare the processor, graphics and memory entries with your PC before setting aside time for the download.
Check free space on the SSD you intend to use, rather than adding together space on separate drives. A drive’s advertised capacity is not its available space. Download speed and performance have not been tested for this guide.
