Who will pay the processing charge?

Rogers says a 1.6% processing charge will apply to credit-card bill payments starting January 17, 2027. It covers Auto-Pay and one-time payments, rather than taking effect immediately.

Quebec customers are exempt. Rogers also lists select specialized plans, including Connected for Success, and former Shaw Mobile customers on migrated plans as exceptions. Check your plan before assuming the charge applies.

Which payment methods avoid this fee?

Rogers lists bank-account direct debit, online banking, cheques, Rogers gift cards, prepaid cards, Debit Mastercard and Visa Debit as payment methods without this processing charge.

For one-time credit-card payments, the checkout will show the charge and applicable taxes before confirmation. Credit-card Auto-Pay customers will see the processing charge on their monthly bill.

Check your Auto-Pay discount before switching

The discount has separate eligibility rules. Rogers lists pre-authorized bank debit and Rogers Bank credit cards for eligible services, while unchanged existing plans may keep their current discount. Check your plan's rules before switching.

To change to bank-account payments on the website, open MyRogers, choose Billing & payment, then Change payment method and the bank-account option. Rogers says payment-method updates need at least 48 hours before the scheduled withdrawal; a first automatic payment can take a full billing cycle to begin. If a balance falls due before Auto-Pay begins, Rogers says to make a one-time payment.
