What players can use
In an October 27, 2026 notice, Capcom Town Store says Street Fighter V content requiring online features is unavailable in the Steam version. Offline content remains playable.
Capcom says emergency maintenance is underway while it implements security updates related to PHP. The notice gives no restoration time, so it does not provide a reliable time to schedule an online session.
The separate sales pause
Capcom also says sales through Capcom Town Store will be suspended until the necessary fixes are complete. That is a notice about its own storefront.
For existing owners, the practical distinction is between online and offline content. For a prospective buyer, check the store notice for the sales position. Revisit the official notice before planning online play.
