The quarter at a glance

Uber reported third-quarter 2026 revenue of $14.8 billion on November 4, up 10% from a year earlier. Gross bookings, the value of business transacted across its services, rose 20% to $59.8 billion. The quarter ended September 30.

The company says business-model changes reduced reported revenue growth by eight percentage points. Revenue growth and bookings growth therefore describe different measures; neither is a share-price return.

Why the net-profit comparison needs context

GAAP net income attributable to Uber was $512 million, down from $6.626 billion a year earlier. The comparison includes unusually large items: Q3 2025 benefited from a $4.9 billion tax valuation release and a $1.5 billion pretax gain from investment revaluations. This quarter included a $476 million pretax investment-revaluation loss.

GAAP operating income moved in the other direction, rising 30% to $1.447 billion. GAAP diluted earnings were $0.25 per share; Uber separately reported non-GAAP earnings of $0.88 per share. The adjusted measure excludes items and should be read alongside the GAAP result and reconciliation.

Activity rose in rides and delivery

Uber recorded about 4.1 billion trips, up 16%, and 215 million monthly active platform consumers, up 14%. Mobility bookings rose 18% to $29.5 billion, while Delivery bookings increased 22% to $28.5 billion. These are year-over-year comparisons in reported currency.

What the Q4 figures mean

For the fourth quarter, Uber forecasts gross bookings of $63.25 billion to $65.25 billion and non-GAAP earnings of $0.95 to $0.99 per share.
