Listed downloads are 15.5 GB on Xbox Series X|S, 4.5 GB on PS5, 4.3 GB for PC and a separate 2.1 GB Steam entry. Match the listing to your platform when planning the download.
The patch notes describe 1.0.8 as the final major content update. Ubisoft plans further quality-of-life updates over the coming months.
What a fresh run changes
Ubisoft's companion guide says New Game+ retains equipment, currency and ship upgrades. Story progress, active quests, quest items, map discovery and forts reset. Ship and hideout upgrades remain, but story progression must restore access to both.
The guide describes Nightmare as adjustable separately for combat, stealth, naval encounters and activities, regardless of story progress. Review those options before committing to a harder run.
