Who is affected
Cloudflare reported a bug affecting cache purges for FedRAMP customers on November 6. Its incident page says stale content may continue to be served until it expires. It explicitly says non-FedRAMP customers are not affected by this issue.
The affected service is CDN Cache Purge. The report concerns removing cached content, rather than a confirmed failure of every Cloudflare service or every customer’s website.
The official incident timeline
The status page records the investigation from 17:47 UTC. At 17:59 UTC, Cloudflare marked the issue as identified and said work on a fix was continuing. No resolution was posted when we checked the page at 18:16 UTC on November 6.
A purge asks the delivery network to invalidate stored content. If that request is delayed, a visitor may keep seeing an older cached version even after the publisher changes its source content.
What affected teams can check
FedRAMP customers can follow the linked incident page for the fix and resolution status. The announcement gives no restoration deadline or confirmed workaround.
The stated impact is limited to this customer group and cache-purge service. A successful origin update alone does not demonstrate that this particular cache issue has ended.
