What Epic disclosed

Fortnite Status published the Treasure Hunters chest drop rates on November 7. The official explanation says the base rates have been unchanged since the season began and do not fluctuate during the day, apart from Treasure Hours.

The season launched on November 1. The new disclosure gives players the per-chest probabilities for its treasure rewards; it is not a new season launch or a general increase in drop rates.

The normal-match odds per chest

Pirate Shop Access: one in 137,500. Weekly Gold Outfit: one in 1,562,500.

Weekly Vehicle and Decal: one in 7,813. Weekly Pickaxe or Backbling: one in 568.

Weekly Jam Track: one in 391. Weekly Loading Screen: one in 272. Any Gizmo: one in 127.

Those are the figures in Fortnite Status’s normal-match explanation. They describe a chance each time a chest is opened, not a promise that opening that number of chests will award the item. The post also says treasures cannot be received twice, except for Gizmos.

Treasure Hours are a separate, temporary boost

The same post described Treasure Hours multipliers and announced higher boosts for a November 7 session from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. Eastern. That dated session has ended; its multipliers should not be treated as the current all-day rates.

Epic says future Treasure Hours may have different boosts and that it will announce them. Check current Fortnite Status notices for a specific session rather than assuming the base odds or an earlier bonus applies indefinitely.
