Acts 5 and 6 complete the campaign
Grinding Gear Games has detailed Path of Exile 2’s full-release content in a November 6 developer post on Steam. Version 1.0 will add Acts 5 and 6 to complete the six-act campaign, with 24 new areas and 18 new unique bosses.
The announcement confirms free play from December 11 PST. That is the date as stated in Pacific Standard Time; the post does not specify an opening hour. The November update supplies a fuller content breakdown ahead of that planned launch.
Shadow and Duelist bring different combat systems
The Shadow uses daggers and traps, with a Stealth mechanic that prevents monsters from seeing the character until they get close. Its two release Ascendancy classes are Assassin and Infiltrator.
The Duelist focuses on sword skills and Stances. Ready Stance can be upgraded to Sand or Blood Stance, and the two announced Ascendancy classes are Knight and Master-at-Arms. These systems are planned for version 1.0.
A new league changes the endgame
The Conquerors of Wraeclast Challenge League adds army recruitment, enemy fortifications and an endgame stronghold. Players can choose among three factions, while commanders can handle Atlas progression in a new real-time system.
The post also outlines major Passive Skill Tree and Support Gem changes. Returning players can use the linked developer breakdown to review those changes before planning a release build.
