What the Arena adds to the playtest
Slitherine added Arena mode to the Warhammer Blood Bowl playtest in a November 6 announcement. Coaches draft from 24 available factions using the updated rules, or choose a premade team.
An Arena run lasts up to ten matches. It ends earlier at the first defeat or third draw. The mode uses a resurrection format, which the publisher describes as having no after-match consequences for the team.
Where to find the current test
The game’s Steam page currently shows a Join the Warhammer Blood Bowl Playtest section and a Join the Playtest link. Use that entry to check the account’s participation options; we have not signed in, installed the build or tested successful access.
Steam separately marks the full game as not yet available. The playtest entry is not a full-game release announcement.
Keep the playtest roster separate from ownership
The 24-faction draft pool belongs to this Arena announcement. It does not mean every faction becomes a permanently owned team in the full game.
The current store listing says Blood Bowl 3 owners will receive Warhammer Blood Bowl for free and retain previously owned teams and cosmetics. That future upgrade is separate from joining the present test.
