The opening match and local start time
The first WTGL season begins on Sunday, November 8, when Los Angeles Golf Club face New York Golf Club at the SoFi Center in Florida. Sky’s published schedule lists an 8pm GMT start for viewers in the UK and Ireland. The organiser lists the same match at 3pm Eastern time and still marks it as upcoming.
The league’s opening-match guide names Michelle Wie West, Alison Lee and Gaby López for Los Angeles, with Rose Zhang, Linn Grant and Lydia Ko representing New York. This is a preview of the scheduled match, not a result.
Where UK and Ireland viewers can watch
Sky Sports has confirmed exclusive UK and Ireland rights for the 2026 and 2027 WTGL competitions. Its current viewing guide says matches will be shown across Sky Sports Golf, Sky Sports+ or Sky Sports Mix, with next-day repeats on Sky Sports Golf.
Check the live listing for the specific match’s channel and whether your package includes it. The rights announcement does not establish a free stream or a single subscription price, and the Sky Sports app’s news and highlights offering should not be treated as proof of access to live coverage.
How indoor team golf works
WTGL combines shots into a large simulator screen with a real putting and short-game area inside the arena. Each match has 15 holes: nine in three-player alternate-shot teams, followed by six head-to-head singles holes. The opener is part of a five-team league developed in partnership with the LPGA.
The season has ten regular-season matches, with the top four teams advancing to the playoffs. The first semifinals are scheduled for December 20 and 21, before the best-of-three finals. Sky’s rights expansion and the imminent first match give viewers a new women’s golf competition to follow; they do not change the separate men’s TGL calendar.
