Who gets the PC update first
Xbox Insiders can start trying an updated Xbox PC app from November 5, Microsoft says. The changes include library filters and organization, friends in the main navigation, and search across games, installed titles, add-ons and people.
Microsoft reports launches up to 60% faster, Home, Store and Game Pass pages up to 50% faster, and in-app windows up to 65% faster. Those are its own test results; performance can vary by device, connection, configuration and usage. Briefpixel has not independently tested the gains.
The web rollout has a different timetable
Microsoft says the refreshed web experience will reach more players automatically over the next few weeks. Players who want to try it sooner can visit play.xbox.com.
A new Library tab gathers cloud-playable games, whether owned or accessed through Game Pass. It adds sorting and filters, a desktop mode for larger displays, light and dark themes, and five new high-contrast options. A listing in the library does not make every owned game cloud-playable.
TV and VR support remains device-dependent
The refreshed look and navigation are also beginning to reach cloud gaming apps on supported TVs and VR headsets. The announcement gives no complete device list, country-by-country schedule or exact date for every account.
Check the Insider app and your own supported device for access. This is a software and navigation update; the announcement does not introduce a new Game Pass entitlement or confirm a new cloud-playtime pack rollout.
